Maarit H. Threlfall, MS
Maarit H. Threlfall has been studying, observing and collecting wisconsin's flora for over a half century. Her speciality is Wisconsin prairies and grasses. She received her MS degree in Horiculture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1949. Prior to coming to the United States she received her BS degree in Agronomy and Soils from the University of Helsinki, Finland in 1948. For fifteen years she lead nature tours for the general public and school children at the UW Arboretum and Cherokee Marsh Outdoor Education Area. For ten years she taught field botony courses through the University of Wisconsin Extension program. |
