Lucille Marchand, MD, BSN
Dr. Lu Marchand is a family physician, integrative and palliative medicine practitioner, teacher and researcher. She is nationally known for her work in communication, health professional well-being, and incorporating the arts and spirituality into integrative and palliative medicine.
Dr. Lucille Marchand is Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of WI Medical School, family physician and former medical director of the UW Health Belleville Clinic, integrative medicine consultant at UW Integrative Medicine, and a medical director at HospiceCare, Inc. in Madison.

She received a BA in Sociology from Brown University, a BS in nursing from Creighton University, MD from the University of CA, San Francisco, and family medicine residency and fellowship training at the University of CT, Hartford. She is board certified in family medicine, holistic medicine, and board eligible in palliative care.

She and her husband have lived in Madison for twelve years, and have two children. Her areas of professional interest include spirituality in health care, communication, palliative medicine, ethics, professional well-being, the humanities in health care, and integrative medicine.
