About Celia: (Celia Farran) is a cross between an Earthy Enya, Tori Amos and Gilda Radner! Red-headed Renaissance Woman, Celia is a Singer/Songwriter, Actress, Storyteller who has perfected the magic of combining the silly and the sacred. After graduating in theatre from the University of Michigan, she headed for New York City. Tired of "cattle-call" auditions for musicals, Celia wrote, produced and performed a one-woman Celtic cabaret, "Stories in the Stone," performed live music for the Off Broadway production of Conor McPherson’s "Rum and Vodka”, and toured with Theatreworks USA.
Based in
Milwaukee, WI, Celia's new CD “Breathe’ (Seeing Red
Records) is an eclectic recording - featuring a variety of musical
styles, including alt-country, bluegrass, world beat and a touch of R&B. Celia sends out 10
original songs, filled with her vivacious spirit, insight and a wistful
